Perfect Granite Cleaner
Stop buying expensive cleaners to use on your nice countertops. While those probably work well and get the job done, you don’t need to be spending lots of money on cleaning products.
Rubbing alcohol mixed with water and essential oils is actually a wonderful cleaner for granite countertops, as it’s not abrasive and isn’t filled with a bunch of unnecessary chemicals. Plus, it gets the job done in no time. You can even keep your homemade solution in a spray bottle for easy use.
Get Rid of Hair Lice
If you’re anything like me, then you have recurring nightmares about finding lice in your hair. While it may only seem like something elementary school kids have to deal with, the truth is anyone can get lice at any age.
But, all you need to do to deal with it is to pour rubbing alcohol on your hair and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Once you’ve let it sit, wash it out with water. After the initial treatment, dip a comb in alcohol and comb it through your hair.
Remove Ear Wax
You may have seen videos of people using candles to get ear wax out of their ears, but let me tell you, there are easier ways to do it. Just mix rubbing alcohol and vinegar together, take a cotton swab, and use it to clean out your ear.
The vinegar and alcohol will dissolve the wax, making it easier to come out. Just be careful when you do this, as you don’t want to stick the cotton swab in too far.
Sticky No More
Have you struggled to remove price tags or stickers off of something you just purchased? While some come off effortlessly, others seem to never come off no matter how hard you try. Thankfully, rubbing alcohol can get those pesky buggers off in no time.
All you need to do is grab a cloth and soak the sticker in a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Once it’s soaked for a bit the sticker should be ready to remove, and you can use either your finger or the cloth to get it off.
Fresh Smell
Nobody wants to walk around in stinky shoes, but it does happen from time to time. In fact, leather shoes can start to smell if they’re a little bit wet, which may happen if you get caught in a rainstorm. But don’t panic!
All you have to do is spray rubbing alcohol inside the shoes and leave them to dry in the sun. The alcohol will soak up the foul smell and leave your shoes smelling as fresh as a daisy. OK, maybe not a daisy, but they’ll no longer smell bad!
